I enjoy a good cup of tea and I find it to be the perfect transition into a meditation. A tea ritual can be as simple as boiling a pot of water and adding your favorite tea blend. It can also be more complex such as loose leaf tea, fresh ginger, spices, herbs and honey. Whichever process you fancy, a tea ritual can bring awareness to the five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. This mindful practice can bring about a sense of well-being and a more centered state of mind. The next time you have tea observe your state of being, and may your find comfort in your cup.
